Acrylic Systems for Temporary Crown and Bridge Manufacture
Esschem Europe offers a series of fully shaded acrylic polymers, specifically designed for provisional crown and bridgework. The range of materials consists of two self-curing systems and a heat cure resin system, which have been pigmented to tooth shades approximating the Vita ™ shade guide. The resins offer the possibility to manufacture high quality temporary prosthetics, which are both durable and aesthetically pleasing. Clear polymers are also available for manufacturers to pigment in house.
J003 Type Acrylic
A PMMA based resin which typically is used with a MMA promoted monomer, and utilises a regular amine / Peroxide curing system. The resins are mixed 2:1 with liquid P907 and cured in a pressure pot at 30 psi for 15 minutes. For clear splints or other indications where transparency is required, resin H003 0039 is used with liquid P871.
J019 Type Acrylic
A PEMA based resin which is used with a nbma promoted monomer, and utilises a regular amine / peroxide curing system. The resins are mixed 2:1 with liquid P984 and cured in a pressure pot at 30 psi for 15 minutes. This system produces a tougher appliance capable of integrity in thin sections. Clear resin is available L019 0060.
J176 Type Acrylic
A PMMA based resin, which is heat cured in a traditional manner. It is used with a MMA cross linked monomer S910. The tooth shades correspond back with the self curing resins above. The cured specimen is durable; cross linked and can form a longer term acrylic restoration.
